Standard LED strips change their entire length as one unit — you cannot create a chase or animation where different parts show different colours simultaneously. Pixel LED strips have an integrated IC chip at each LED or group of LEDs, giving individual address and control. This is what enables flowing animations, rainbow effects and graphic content to run across the strip.
What software do you use to control pixel LED systems?
We use industry-standard platforms including Madrix, xLights, Jinx and custom Art-Net/sACN controllers depending on the scale and complexity of the installation. For simpler architectural applications we programme standalone SD-card pixel controllers with pre-loaded animation libraries that run automatically without any software.
Can pixel LED systems be synced to music?
Yes. Audio-reactive pixel control is available through platforms like Jinx or specialised music-sync controllers that analyse audio input and drive pixel animations in real-time to the beat and frequency content of the music. This is popular for restaurant and bar installations.
